Thank you for considering Cortland United Church for your wedding.  Planning a wedding is an involved process.  The number of details which need your attention may seem overwhelming, but we are here to help!

IMPORTANT NOTES TO CONSIDER WHEN PLANNING YOUR WEDDING AT CORTLAND UNITED CHURCH:

Coordinate the time and day of your celebration as soon as possible with the church and the pastor.  Weddings at Cortland United Church (CUC) will be performed by the pastor of CUC or an approved pastor agreed upon by the CUC pastor and/or Administrative Council.

​

Weddings at Cortland United Church will be Christian weddings.

​

Photography and videotaping is encouraged and coordinated through the pastor.

​

There is no smoking or alcohol allowed in the church building.

​

Music plays an important role in your marriage service.  We would ask that you would choose music that best reflects this celebration and service.

​

CUC is home to many talented musicians and vocalists who may be contacted to be a part of your wedding.

​

RECEPTIONS AT OUR FACILITY:

Our fellowship hall is available for your wedding reception.  If you choose to have your reception at our church, please be aware that our kitchen is a "serve only" kitchen and all food must be prepared off-site.

​

It is your responsibility to clean the kitchen area.  This includes wiping down all counter surfaces, stove, microwave and table tops with a cleanser or soap and water, sweeping and mopping the floor, tying up garbage bags and taking them to the dumpster.
